Mission Statement

First Southern Baptist Church is a fellowship of believers whose purpose to know God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to equip believers through discipleship. Showing God's love, we strive to reach a hungry world with Jesus Christ through obedience to the Great Commission.

Purpose:

Our purpose is to seek with all diligence to reach all people with the Gospel of our Lord as stated in the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19-20. In addition, we shall provide regular opportunities for public worship, to sustain the ordinances, beliefs and practices as set forth in the New Testament for a Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. It shall also be our purpose to nourish each individual member of the body in matters which are spiritual, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit of God

Beliefs:

In keeping with the principles and teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ, concerning Himself, God the Father, God the Holly Spirt, and all things Spiritual, we have adopted the Baptist Faith And Message which was approved in the 1963 Southern Baptist Convention's Annual Meeting as our guide for faith and practice.
